
Cornmeal Cake with Guava Paste
A delicious and traditional Brazilian cornmeal cake with chunks of guava paste, perfect for celebrating June festivals.

Ingredients
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 200g guava paste, diced
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- 2. In a bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, sugar, milk, oil, eggs, and baking powder until well combined.
- 3. Fold in the diced guava paste.
- 4. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
- 5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 6. Let it cool before slicing and serving.
