Matcha Green Tea Tiramisu

A Japanese twist on the classic Italian dessert, this Matcha Green Tea Tiramisu is a delightful and refreshing treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
  • 1 cup brewed green tea, cooled
  • 24-30 ladyfinger cookies

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and matcha powder.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Dip each ladyfinger cookie into the brewed green tea and line the bottom of a dish with a layer of cookies.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the cookies.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining cookies and mascarpone mixture.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  8. Dust with additional matcha powder before serving, if desired.
