Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of French bread, cut into cubes
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, mustard, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add bread cubes, cheese, ham, green onions, and garlic to the egg mixture. Stir to combine.
  3. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish and cover with foil. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake the casserole for 45-50 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
