
Thanksgiving Turkey
Delicious roasted turkey recipe for Thanksgiving dinner.

Ingredients
- 14 lb whole turkey
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Place turkey in a roasting pan and pat dry with paper towels.
- Combine melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Brush mixture over turkey.
- Stuff turkey with onion, celery, and carrots. Pour chicken broth into the pan.
- Cover turkey with foil and roast for 3 to 3.5 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and roast for additional 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
