
Thanksgiving Turkey with Cranberry Sauce
A traditional Thanksgiving main dish featuring a juicy roasted turkey served with homemade cranberry sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 whole turkey
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 orange, zested and juiced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Season the turkey with salt and pepper, and place in a roasting pan.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange zest, and juice. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
- Stir in butter and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the roasted turkey with the cranberry sauce on the side.
