Thanksgiving Turkey with Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 orange, zested and juiced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the turkey with salt and pepper, and place in a roasting pan.
  3. Roast the turkey for about 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange zest, and juice. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in butter and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve the roasted turkey with the cranberry sauce on the side.
