
Thanksgiving Turkey Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 whole turkey (12-14 lbs)
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons dried thyme
- 2 tablespoons dried rosemary
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Mix together the softened butter, dried thyme, dried rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create a herb butter mixture.
- Rub the herb butter mixture all over the turkey, making sure to coat it evenly.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover it with foil.
- Roast the turkey for approximately 3 hours, removing the foil during the last hour to allow the skin to crisp up.
- Once the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 165°F, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
